I'm spending the week at the lake house, beginning with a retreat with my favorite burlesque family. It's important every once in a while for artists (in this modern world especially) to escape to a place of tranquility and so to escape together as a group was magnificent. Burlesque is a world of different opinions and ideals (both a blessing and a perpetual issue.) Therefore, there are times when it is essential for a group of burlesque artists to re-find common ground and to make an effort to really share the best parts of our selves. I truly feel that we've come out the other side of this brief interlude as better troupe members and there is no denying that the Jigglewatts are simply unique. There are very few troupes who function as we do - a group of headliners, who come together to preserve and to create resulting in something wonderful. I feel lucky indeed to be a part of a sensation so rare.
We've nourished our minds, bodies and souls with positivity, laughter, meals, wine, flowing waters, fresh air and sunshine. With love and gratitude, Jolie
