Easy Vintage Summer Hair Style!

Here in Austin, Texas things are really heating up! And I don't mean just on the burlesque stage - it's too darn hot! For us vintage enthusiasts that can mean a summer struggle concerning our hair. Too dry for cute hair, too humid for cute hair, too sticky for cute hair, too sweaty for cute hair! So, lately I've been playing with different styles of up-do's that still give me a retro look. I'm particular though. If I'm wearing a 1940s dress/outfit I don't really want to sport a rockabilly pomp. If I'm wearing a 1950s cocktail dress, I don't really want to rock a WWII swing style.  I'd like to provide for you some ideas for hair this week, so that you can be as silly as I about summer hair!

Today, I'm sharing one of my favs for rockabilly/greaser days. It's really simple and the tutorial is by a gal I discovered a long time ago, when I was just a little Jolie searching the internet for gals like me who love vintage style. Even if this tutorial isn't your thang, you should check out her blog! It's full of amazing clothes, sewing ideas, outfits... caseymaura.blogspot.com

Have a great summer day and put that hair up! xo, Jolie
